Hi-Lift Jack mount for $20
New member, new Jeep owner and here's my first post. After scouring online and within this forum for a better option to mount a 48" hi-lift jack to the inside of my Jeep, I've come up with the following using common supplies from Home Depot and Lowes for less than $20.
PARTS:
1. 3 - 2" conduit brackets
2. 3 - 1/2" x 2" #13 full thread hex bolts
3. 3ea - 1/2" #13 nuts, flat & lock washers
2" Conduit Bracket
INSTALLATION:
30 minute installation after assembling parts, adjustments and a strategically placed bungee cord, there are ZERO rattles, shakes or noises of any kind, nor does it obstruct the rear view.
Taking it off is simple, because the nuts are 3/4", the same socket used to take off the deep set lug nuts, can be used to take this off as well; no additional tools required.
Brackets installed with 1/2" full thread #13 hex bolts screwed in from the inside before install
End result
Phase 2: For added safety in the event the conduit brackets were to snap in a crash, I need to integrate a teather to the to the roll bar.
