I have looked at other threads for DIY rope stuff. I make some grab handles with 550 cord and I will be doing this too! What a sweet idea! I just ordered another 600 feet of 550 cord for more grab handles.

Did you do the sides where the back windows are? If so, how'd you do that? I'm trying to come up with a way, but I'm having a hard time

I first made one with 3/8 rope and I did not care for the look of it because of the area that I did... I went ahead and remade the whole thing with 550 cord and really like it.

Thanks for the write up!!!!!

That looks great! Nice job.

How did you have it attached just behind the rear passenger doors so that it is snug?

I actually used a D Ring and wrapped it through the door latch. I'll take a picture of the specifics... Definitely not a pro job, but it'll work for my purposes. I made it with the intentions of, easy on/off.

Learning to tie knots in the military came to use for something. Ha

This is just my twist to this awesome DIY.

I attached the 550 cord to a D ring and hooked it back onto itself. I did it like this because it gave me the proper pull to keep the net against the edge.

This is just showing where the D ring is attached. As you can see I also have another D ring attached to the floor hook to keep the sides nice and tight too.

This is the way I hooked it on the other side... I ran out of 550!

I connected the top with a D ring as well. The 550 attached to the roll bar is a permanent loop that will stay on the Jeep when the net is removed.

And this is showing the back portion... I have attached it to the floor to keep the back nice and tight and not allow the dogs to sneak under the net.

This is what I used to attach the back portions.

Again, this is my version of this cool DIY. Much thanks to the OP.
