I'm a girl, not a dude...but that's cool!! There aren't that many ladies on here, so I'm in the minority. Understandable. Anyway, thanks for the compliment, and I may check into the speaker box covering. I keep going back & forth on the covering. I'm undecided...like most women, huh? Hee Hee!!

Default UPDATE!!! I covered it w/ truck carpet...

One $8 roll of truck carpet from Walmart (found in the floor mat section) & a $3 can of spray adhesive. Done!! I left the bracket exposed so that I can attach bungee cords to tie down things or tie down a cargo net on top. I covered the rear edge with carpet so that the soft top is protected when I fold it down & won't get cut. You could cover it if you wanted...whatever suits you needs.

With rear seat folded. I didn't bother carpeting all of the way down. No need.

Great job

i hope you will round on that one edge of metal on the L bracket near the seat in the updated photo hate to see senseless blood spilled.
Oh maybe even use automotive door edge guard on the top of the steel edge, Just an idea.
good work though !

I like how the carpet covers the bolts. It makes it a little less tempting for people with sticky fingers to open the box with a few turns of a rachet when the top is down.

really awesome

That looks great! I have been wanting to do something like this too. I'm a little worried about how the stereo would sound though. How does it sound with the sub covered? Thanks.
