This is a quick write-up for replacing a stripped rear lug stud on a JK/JKU.

1. Using a floor jack, lift rear of vehicle until tires are no longer touching the ground.
2. Remove lug nuts from wheel.
3. Pull wheel and tire off rotor.
4. Remove retainer clips from the front of the drum.
5. Remove 2 18mm bolts from the back of the brake caliper.
6. Remove brake caliper and place on a jack stand or what you have available. (DO NOT PRESS THE BRAKES WHILE THE CALIPER IS OFF)
7. Remove the drum (should pull right off with ease).
8. Using a hammer, knock out the broken lug stud.
9. Place new lug stud into the hole left by removing the old/broken lug stud.
10. Place 6 large washers on the new lug stud. Note: Make sure the washers will fit around the bottom lip of the lug stud.
11. Screw lug nut onto the new stud.
12. Using a tire iron or 3/4 wrench/socket, tighten the lug nut until the stud seats into the lug hole.
13. Remove lug nut and washers from stud.
14. Put the drum back onto the lug studs. You can but do not have to reuse the metal retainers.
15. Place the brake caliper back onto the drum/rotor.
16. Tighten the 18mm bolts on back of the caliper.
17. Put wheel and tire back onto the rotor.
18. Tighten lug nuts.
19. Lower the Jeep and thats all there is to replacing a stripped lug stud.
