That is the opposite of my '14. Odd. Unless you tapped upstream of the connector because the wires do change colors there. It is white/gray in the cab but white/green behind the tail light.

At the tail light plug on mine is white/ grey.

Before I had lights spliced into a white grey wire on passenger side where the harness runs underneath the hard top.

Good to know. In the future if someone asks me what color the reverse wire is behind the tail light on a '14 I'll have to tell them they need to look at the reverse socket because they can be different. Maybe side to side they're different? Did you tap the left or right side?

Edit: I just went out and pulled my housing because I was concerned I had it upside down in the picture or something but I didn't. On my '14 the reverse positive is white/green and the tail light (which I tapped for my relocated license plate light) is white/purple.

I did each side individually. Two splices, two in line fuses.

Behind each taillight is the fuse and splice. It is weird the coloring of the wires. I don't understand why they would change them. When you disconnect the plug from the tail light itself, that is where I spliced in. 2-3" below the plug. Everything is working great so far.

I did the same as you can see in my earlier photo. Seems strange but I have seen stranger.

It was pretty confusing for me when I wired the first one to white/green and my wife hit the brakes and cubes came on.

Could be a good option for brake checking people

Haha.

I just used the wire that was coming out of the reverse socket. Two were black and the power wire (white/green in my case) was obvious.
