Hello

Me and my wife are new to the jeep world and we are looking for advice on buying a jeep project. We have a large family 3 kids and a dog so we are looking for a 4 door jk that fit the whole family. Our budget is tight so I figured our best bet is to buy a salvaged jeep with repairable damage. Plan is to revive the jeep and build to our family specs, I am mechanically inclined and I have built projects before but this one will be my biggest challenge yet. The jeep would be a garage build so I'm limited to shop equipment but I can hire those steps out if I have to.

So where do I start ?
What should I be looking for when buying projects jeeps?
I live in Wisconsin any places around me where I can find a project jeep?
Is their any write ups about this that some has already posted?
