This thread is being started for installation instruction and review information only. Please do not comment on the safety of this setup as it has been hashed over enough in other posts.
We ordered the Little Passenger Seat Deluxe seat with head rests and shoulder strap seat belts in black fabric to match the existing. We wanted to capability of being able to haul more than just five of us and we decided this was the best solution for us. The seats will not be used regularly, but the need is often enough to warrant it for us. It came packaged very well and after unboxing and laying out all the parts: Attachment 604804 You start by taking up the carpet in the rear. I pulled the tray out as well for ease of cleanup later: Attachment 604805 They give you a 1/8" thick steel bar template in which to use to drill your holes perfectly. In my 2014, it was to be placed 6" back from rear edge of the cubby cover brackets. I drilled the drivers side one first after very careful measurement and inserted a small bolt temporarily to hold it in place. Then the passengers side one. Then drilled out the remaining four holes: Attachment 604806 I place the underbody bracket under the rear tub and had my son place the small bolts to hold in place. Put the carpet back down after cutting slits in it for the bolts to pass through. Then bolt the mounting plates in with the graded bolts.
Attachment 604821 There is a slight fitment issue with the seat attachment channels and the plastic covers in the rear sides: Attachment 604822 Nothing a dremel couldn't handle, trimming the plastic a bit. After tightening down the bolts it was pretty flush: Attachment 604823 Cubby cover installed: Attachment 604824 Getting to the main bolts to secure the seats is a bit tight but I could get both hands under to tighten everything. Here is the seat installed facing rearward. My kids were about at the maximum size you can fit back there as the legroom is not much. The cloth color and style matched almost exactly to the factory cloth.
Attachment 604826 We turned it around (about 10 min to do) to face forward to give it a try. Attachment 604827 Much more legroom for the munchkins. My wife even got herself back there. Attachment 604828 And here you have it. An eight seat wrangler. Attachment 604829 |
That's awesome! Where did you find that? Do they lay down too or are they permanently fixed in the upright position?

I am going to buy the single seat for my 2012 JKU soon. I have read a lot of negative reviews on the lack of a rollcage protection for the third row seat and decided to make the seat rear facing. I also came across this rollcage extension made specifically for this issue. Rock Hard 4x4 3RD Row / Accessory Mount Sport Cage for Jeep Wrangler JK 4DR 2007 - 2015 [RH-1032] It supposedly fits with the squared soft and hard tops and can be installed without removing them according to the video.
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/atta...d=609312&stc=1 Just seems like a good option if you decide that you need more of a cage around the seat. Also thanks for the post and pictures. It is really interesting to see that there is more leg room forward facing then rearward. |
What happened to this company?!
Hey guys, I ordered a third seat for my 2013 JKU around September 30, 2017. At that time, we paid for half the seat, and all of the shipping and handling.
This company seemed to be well established. It was to take about 9 weeks to build the seat. I sent them an email inquiring as to the status of our order last week, got no reply. Tried calling their number, no answer and their mail box was full. So, I went to their web site and is it now closed. Our bank account WAS charged for the charges as stated above. We leave the country in 3weeks and NEED that seat soon so we can install it in the Jeep before we ship it to Papua New Guinea. Anybody know what happened to this company? Should we wait? Call our bank? Suggestions?? |

If you can get your money back you might try tereflex's third row seat kit. It is brackets and then you just have to get a 2 door seat + seatbelts (couple of options if you search forums). I have been happy with my tereflex setup. I do recommend bolting all the way through and skipping the nutserts.
