Default Maglight/Flashlight Holder

As you already know finding a place to store things in a JK is very difficult. I found a set of brackets that I bought a couple years ago at a surplus store and never used. Well I found a place to mount them and worked out great.

This pic looks crooked for some reason, but it's really not

And here's an option for the Mall Crawlers too

Like I said it's been a couple years since I bought them, but I'm pretty sure they were less than $10/set. I didn't take a photo from the top down, but there is no interfence with the seat while the door is closed. They don't even touch.

I considered the tailgate, but then thought if it's dark enough to need a flashlight i may be in a position that I need the light to get up/over/around/through to the tailgate. Plus it's always there as an equalizer if I ever need it.

I've got the same thing, but mounted it on the frame of the drivers seat (below the height adjuster) using just one of the clips. I'll try and post a pic tonight.

1-I too like the tailgate one, it just looks neat. My only conerns (paranoid) is it becoming a rocket in an accident and distance from driver's seat
2-Like the idea of mounting to door or seat
3-Also, think it would be great if there was a similar type mount for my handgun that I could securely place in easy reach while driving

Why do you need quick access to your handgun while driving?

Here is my mag light holder. In the standard location on drivers seat frame. Yes, I still use my truck club to prevent theft of the airbag and when I have the top off.
