Can someone post a picture of what wires need to be cut spliced and reconnected? I keep reading and getting conflicting answers. I have a '12 Sport.
The outcome I'm looking for is a running light and a blinker. I would like the blinker to work whenever the blinker is turned on (whether or not the lights are on) and the running light to be on whenever the lights are.
It doesn't make any sense why Jeep didn't do this in the first place, my friends TJ's side marker acts as a blinker and a running light.

Ok. Take the grill off, grab the black wire from the fender light in your hand and follow it up as far as you can before the loom. Leave an inch before the loom and cut it. Now you have a long piece of black wire coming from the fender. Take that and tee it to the the front indicator wire. Which wire you ask, the outer white wire, not the middle one. You may need to extend the fender wire to reach. My connection is extended with a red wire to remind me in the future.

lol nice, i'll do that soon
Okay, as mentioned later in this thread, all you do is snip the black wire coming off the side marker and tap it into the outmost white/brown wire that leads to the blinker. Ya, exactly....it should have come from the factory this way.
Check out the pic....it's worth a thousand words on how I got in there and did it. It's really simple and probably even easier since I had the grille off.

this is easier than I thought. No need to add wire, just cut black wire (coming from the side marker) closer to the front blinker.
This is looking straight up on the pass. side, no need to remove the grill
then a dab of liquid electrical tape on the cut end.
