I have a 2010 X with stubby bumper and winch, rocker guards and Superchips tuned. I get about 18 to 20 mpg on average. I try to stay off of the gas

First true at speed interstate test...it was bad.

13.4 MPG
thats light bar on, loaded with tools cooler and hammered down. Most of the trip was over 70 mph, up to 85 at times. Lots of hills in north GA and NC and I was into 5th and 4th a bunch of times on the hills and sometimes 3rd. It came back up to 14.1 on the way home when I was doing more downhill hammered down.

When your that concerned about MPG it's time for a Prius or Volt! Jeep are synonymous with lousy gas mileage. Your best mileage will be after break in at about 1500 miles on the odometer stock. Once you start moding , it down hill from there.

Well said, I agree. It amazes me when somebody tells me they turned in their old clunker to get a PeeAss to save money on on gas. I would keep the clunker and put $30,000 of gas into it for the next 20 years. Just dump the gas in, stop looking at the MPG
