It's a good texture. It's not real rough kinda like a dragged texture that one might have on their sheet rock walls. And to answer your other question, no I do not plan on putting carpet back it.
It's just so much easier with out it

WOW, Ive been looking to line my pan with a removeable rubber mat. I think I have just changed my mind. This looks incredable. Jeep should make this a stock option.

Thanks for all the kind words fellas.

I agree that jeep should make this an option.

It's something that can be done in a full days work, if one was so inclined. I'm supposed to do my neighbors next week but he has to remove and reinstall everything. I'm charging him 100$ dollars to do prep and spray.

Just to reiterate, this liner is not rubbery. It's very hard. I dropped my 1/2" breaker bar on it ( fell off from the sound bar) and it just bounced off. I was surprised because I was afraid that it wasn't dry enough yet for that kind of hit.

I can actually put my bare feet on the floor now.
I did about an hours worth of driving in almost 100 degree temps and my feet were fine on the floor. It was still hot on the tunnel up by the gas pedal but it was manageable.

thanks for the kind words

yes the kit comes with everything. you need an air compressor, tape, respirator, masking material of some kind, sand paper (60 grit makes it easier) or a rough wool pad and some motivation.

no i did not, i just pulled everything from the plastic retainers and either tied the wires up to the roll bar or hung it over the windshield.
