Paramount 50" Light Bar - Installation and Thoughts
5 Attachment(s)
I wanted to do a quick write up on my recent installation of the Paramount 50" Light Bar. I want to start off by saying how impressed I am with this light so far. The installation was a piece of cake obviously. But the light so far has lived up to my expectations, and based upon quality and price Paramount has done an amazing job with this light. I will say that I am an avid Rigid fan and have had\have multiple Rigid lights on my Jeep. However, this 50" light bar was my latest purchase and I am beyond happy with the results.
Like I said, the installation was a piece of cake. Here is a few shots of the bar itself prior to installation as well as the mounts. Attachment 446673Attachment 446674 Step 1 - Installation of mounts, with power running under the left mount. Attachment 446675 Step 2 - Attach the light to the Mounts - (During the installation, I was attempting to keep the Dually lights. However, post install I realized they were of no use and have sense removed them. Unlike the Rigid Light as well as Rigid\PS mounts these have Allen screws the go through the mount and into the light. Attachment 446676Attachment 446677 As I cannot attach more than 5 photos currently, I will continue this on post 2! |

Step 3 - Was my temporary power wires over to my sPOD. The light has since been run with a water proof plug that hides at the under the top of the left mount. When I want to remove the light for long trips, or potential theft it takes only a few minutes to do so. The Red and black wires below run to my sPOD. As you can tell this is unlike the Rigid, as they give you exposed wires to do the installation with. You receive about 5 feet from the light.
Attachment 446678Attachment 446679 Step 4 - We have the test. While the light of course looks amazing just installed... Attachment 446680 On Post 3 I will show you some action shots! |

The Paramount Light Bar in Action! (Like I said the Duallys are now removed. I do have a 10" Light Bar in my Ace Bumper now as well)
Attachment 446681Attachment 446682Attachment 446683Attachment 446684 At the end of the day we all want a 50" Light Bar. Especially a dual row setup. The price put this light bar in my range, and the quality blew me away. I can't speak highly enough of it and would recommend it to everyone. Last but not least, noise or whistling can be an issue using a light bar like this. After some testing, I can now say that I have dramatically reduced the wind noise with some simple Electrical tape \ Foam. I have heard this is more of an accepted fact of this light bars, but I will post a video soon of how mine sounds now. If you have any questions, shoot me a message! I hope this helps you make an informed decision in the future. Thanks! |

Nice setup I'm thinking about switching to a 50 light bar and ditching my piaa 500.

I have a 50" Hanma L.E.D. and I have absolutely NO noise whatsoever..... I used universal door molding... Picked up at any parts store for $10-$15... Cover top and bottom two fins COMPLETELY from one side to the other.... Also to the ENTIRE middle fin.... Then just randomly place 4" sections of it till u run out on the fins wherever you want.....

I don't work for Paramount or any vendor, so I'm sorry if the company you tried to order it through didn't help. I know I ordered mine the day they received the stock to get it. If you are still looking for one, post on here and I will have the vendor I worked with check it out. Anyway, I hope others find this post useful. Thanks! |
Sly ta, what headlights are you running?

I am running TRU HiD Headlights. The just started making them for cars\trucks. My father has been running them on his Goldwing for awhile.
I am not a vendor account... Here is the post I did about my Jeep yesterday as well. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-s...red%2A-271587/ |
