How's it holding up on the muffler? I was considering doing mine, but I thought the heat would make it come off

I don't think he did the muffler, he did the diff cover and the shocks though.

Correct...I didn't do the muffler. I painted that a while back w/ reg spray paint and the heat burnt it off. I will be doing the muffler with a high-temp paint. PlastiDip is supposed to hold up to 318 degrees I believe. Not sure how hot a muffler gets but I know it can't be hotter than an engine gets. I might test it out this spring/summer

negative on the write-up. I just eyeballed it as I taped off. I didn't measure anything, it was a quick job. If it was permanent I would've been more particular about it.

How'd you get those vents out, I was thinking about doing mine but I can't figure how to get them off.

If you look on the inside of the vents you will see a notched out section, line that up at roughly the 1 o clock position and use a small screwdriver to stick in the small hole. Once pushed in just turn the entire vent ring counter clockwise, remove screwdriver and the vent will come out. Good luck

Default plasti dopped hinge question

Question for those who plasti dipped your hinges. Is there anything special you need to do at the pivot points of the hinge. Do I need to cut the plasti dip with a razor before opening the doors?

I opened and closed the doors while the PD was still wet. I wasn't sure if it would work but I haven't had any issues
