Yeah sorry for not making that clear. I have chrome tail light protectors that my dad had bought and I had chrome so I dipped them and one had a little bit of peeling going on... Anyone know if I should spray over or peel off and re dip them

Did u rough them up a bit, or spray etching primer on first? That d help it stick better.

You don't need to scuff up. I did my jeep logo chrome so has many others and it sticks, and maybe spraying would help with some etching primer. And I'm not 100% could just experiment and try to go over it again maybe it'll even out

Self-etching primer is a good base for the plastidip if you're going to a smooth surface but pretty well defeats the purpose of being able to peel it off if you don't like it since there is primer under it.

Example....I've got a bumper dumper and plastidipped the seat for 'shits n giggles', well it came off quickkk. Self-etching primer and it sticks great. But again- if you're doing primer then you're committed to painting so why not just paint? Especially on taillight guards or little trim things like that.

Default Did the freedom panels.

Was sick of the white so I dipped my freedom panels this time around and I think it turned out nice. I did Blaze Blue on the indented spaces first, let it cure, then taped off the blue and painted the rest black. Next are my wheels. Already have done hood, shocks, diff cover, headlights (angry eyes) grill, among many other things. I posted earlier in this thread.

So far the best price I found was at my local home depot. It was $7 and some change per can.
