Default Productivity At Its Finest

Well a couple weeks ago I decided to help someone out of a ditch because I havent added bumpstops in the rear my 37s rubbed and tore up my rear Rugged Ridge bumper. I decided to get all crafty in the shop this weekend and well one thing led to another and I drove out with a halfway decent stout bumper and an OVERBUILT custom evap skid.

The bumper tubing hugs the rear corner VERY nicely and should follow the lines of my fenders that I hope to buld soon (pics will come). The bumper is much stronger than the original and I am very confident in its ability to take a hit on the trails.

After we finished the bumper I decided to build an evap skid and well things got out of hand. Im willing to bet that a bomb went off under the Jeep this would be the only thing left...

Getting the two support tubes lines up. They go all the way up to the transfer case skid.

Here is the whole piece welded up. All of the steel used is 3/16" plate. The 90 degree bends are 1 3/4" .120 wall tubing and the tubes that tie into the transfer case skid are 1 1/2" .120 wall. The steel plates are welded where ever they meet the tubing and the EVAP skid and the transfer case skid are all one big piece.

I realize that it may be overkill but I love it and it turned out great! The best part is that it was made from metal that was labeled as scrap so I have $0 into both projects!
