Default rear storage on 2dr

i was wondering if anyone has the measurements for the rear of the 2dr with the seat out but retaining the factory sub?

went down to the local dealer and they dont have a 2dr in stock and no idea of the dimensions.

thanks

I have the 4dr so I can't help w/ actual measurements, but I vaguely remember seeing the dimensions with the cubic ft (or meters) listed in the spec's on jeep.com. I don't think they take the sub into account though.

If you need the measurements for the sub, I'll post them.

thanks for that i do have those cubic measurements, im actually looking for a lockable tool box that i can fit in with out to much trouble, and if i have to move the sub i will.

im just trying to order stuff im fitting so i have something to do when my JK finally arrives. which is a little harder down here since arb/tjm are still 2 months off having anything for the local market, and ordering from the states isnt all that easy, so a few custom parts might be getting fitted.

You want the measurement without the rear seat in...the whole back area? I'll measure at lunch if nobody else chimes in first.

Just keep in mind you may not want to use every square inch measuring the floor. you will have the interior tailgate wire cover and latch, the seat belt anchors, and the seatbacks to deal with. I built a box that was as big as I could comfortably go with the space allowed. if youd like i can measure it.

ok the exact exterior dimensions of my box are:
37.5" from wheel well to wheel well,
36" from seatback to tailgate,
12" height

I do have an extra inch of usable with from side to side say 38.5" max

Also with a 12" height I find my 36" length fron to back a bit too much (the seatbacks hit the box the way I tilt the seat back to drive) and would make it 35" if I did it over again.
