removing paint from flares?
so last night, while parked at a buddies house, some thug vandalized 5 cars parked in a row by spray painting a gold line across them, I was able to remove all the paint off of the body however, theres still a line on my flare i can't seem to get off. I tried paint thinner, nail polish remover (with acetone), and isopropyl alcohol. Is there something else I should try? Or is this going to be my excuse to try and bedline my flares/bumpers?
Try using WD-40. A few months ago I got a random e-mail from their company breaking down what wd-40 can do and how NOT harmful it is to surfaces. It had a two page listing of everything it can be used for. One of them was paint removal. If not, time to break out the bedliner. Good luck!
it depends on how faded your flairs are. I bought a can of each, flat, semi gloss, and gloss, semi gloss matched the best and you cant really tell I painted it. And even if you are not happy with it. 2 cans should paint all 4 flairs and a rear bumper to match. semi gloss comes out pretty even. Besides they look new when painted and they dont fade for a long time. I like the bedlined look, but it dont match the rest of the plastic on the jeep.
1 can I did my front and rear when I had stockers.

Use the paint thinner with a tooth brush. The problem is the texture on the flare. The tooth brush will get down in between the ridges of the texture where the rag will not get. If that does not work you are painting.
