I can finally have a grenade shifter in my JK... But I think I am going to do it different. I want the trigger to be the button...

That sucks...just confirmed via google that standard American beer tap handles are 3/8-16. That could have been cool, too.

super easy to do.just put mine on took 10 min.glad i kept my rock knob form my 6 speed.i also did like the chrome look to the adapter so i bought some cushion pro tennis racket wrap at wal-mart for $2.49 and it looks good but i might try some black tubing or a sheet of rubber wrap.

Default installed new gear shifter knob

I bought this off ebay. Very happy with it and very nice quality. The biggest problem was the 16mm 1.5 insert.... I couldn't find an affordable insert so I bought a 16mm nut and ground it down to 3/4 on the outside and drilled my hole and epoxed it in. I am really happy with it and the adapter was a super easy install. Great find by the OP!

This may not be to many peoples taste but I like it.

Very nice! And I love my little 12v LED flashlight too. I have one just like it in the same spot.

I agree...not into the chrome look. I was thinking of kind of the same thing for when I put a baseball knob up. Was just going to use black athletic tape to cover the chrome.

I contacted them directly; they told me they would not sell direct which I found odd. They sent me to a distributer on Ebay, which was fine.

I never complain about how much jeepers get ripped of on their toys but this is a hollow chrome tube ( which I am going to try to make "brushed" or paint anyway, CHROME, REALLY, in the JK, what the ? )

This thing is about an ounce, $13.85 for shipping.

Seriously I could have had a local guy make this out of brushed stainless for this price. I still might, or go to Lowe's, thread some steel or thick alluminum tubing and give them away for cost just to teach these guys a lessen on how sad gougeing people is.

BTW they charge 20% for any and all returns after you get an RMA from the Original vender, original package, receipt, presidential pardon, a letter from your mother etc.

Bitter, nah. A little wiser, maybe.

Very cool idea, screw job execution. I feel stupid admitting I got this thing but at least I feel better trying to help others be informed.

This is a really silly waste of money for someone who can drive to Napa or Lowe's and mock something up way cooler for $8 on lunch break.

Ebay details:

US $24.95
Get low monthly payments I passed on this option, kind of them to offer though

PS thanks to the original poster for this good mod and nicely done install video. It's not in any way his fault this product falls way short of being jeep quality.

I am surprised Mopar doesn't sell a plastic chrome version for $139 that requires dealer installation.

(bad attitude suit off)
