How is it that 2 people have their first posts in this particular thread? Kinda weird.

I was kinda thinking that myself. First 3 post from 2 people that have never been members of the board and they are promoting a product... seems fishy... :holds nose:

Well, if you go to their forum, skylighter is the administrator on there. Now, seeing as how he didn't direct link to that forum, it isn't a competitor with this one (probably), and doesn't say for people to buy things, I don't find it subversive. Just strange.
The paint would work for the back door handles though, and wouldn't require me to figure out how to make LEDs work. Hmm, I wonder if enough light would get to them to charge them, or if I would have to install a UV light into the dome light to allow them to get charge.
Skylighter?

Since the company mentioned in the original post and the forum mentioned afterwards are both owned by the same person, I am removing all contact info. Thanks for the write-up but please do not use this forum to solicit business.

I'll happily respond to this with the same sentiment you had about that person, who with only one post was asking me to post my pictures at that other place.

I was annoyed with that request. The reason being that the forum they wanted me to post my pictures in was sponsored by a specific vendor (glowinc). I don't like forums that have a bias, which is why I will not be posting my pictures over there.

Since getting that powder from glowinc, I have found that they are not the cheapest place. I got my 1 ounce from there for about $12 shipped. Since then I found another place called glonation where I was able to get a half pound for just over $20.

I compared the two side by side, and you know what? Despite glow inc claiming to have the brightest, longest lasting stuff available, glonations powder was just as bright and long lasting. Which left me annoyed that I paid an inflated price for the powder initially. Which left me further annoyed that they wanted me to post my pictures at their "forum".

So, I'd like to express my appreciation to the mod that deleted that request for me to post my pics elsewhere.

I wrote up my mod because I thought it worked perfectly with the little sticker on the back of the Jeep key and this was my first thread/post because, frankly I haven't had anything useful to add before this point.

The other thing I'd like to mention is I've seen that same person lurking at candlepowerforums asking people to post their glow mods at that "forum" too.

This really put my nice mod in a poor light (no pun intended). I'm dissapointed, to put it nicely.

Mods, feel free to remove the company names I have in my posts. Anyone can google the powder and find all the info they need anyways.

Thanks,
-Steve

I applaud your candor and willingness to post a response that is non-confrontational. You see alot of people that get their feelings hurt by simple critisism or jokes on forums and freak out. I havent been here long either but really enjoy the people here. Cheers
