Sprint Booster Installation Write-Up & Review
Having come from a background of CJ’s, TJ’s and XJ’s that all came with nice torquey 258 or 4.0L I-6 engines, it was hard for me to get used to the lathargic 3.8L V6 that the JK’s come with. Granted, my previous Jeeps may not have been speed demons but, at least wanted to get up and go as soon as you hit the gas. More than the motor, the problem with lag that the JK’s have comes from the fact that they now come with an ETC or electric Throttle Control. And, while there are solutions available that can help address this lag by allowing you to reprogram your computer, there is another solution that does a great job of helping out as well - Sprint Booser.
The Sprint Booser is a small device that attaches to the the wiring harness on your accelerator pedal and rather than modifying the programming in your JK’s computer, it simply changes the signal being sent from your accelerator. While this device will NOT give you more horse power, it will get your engine going as soon as you give it gas and without delay. The best part is, this device also comes with a remote toggle switch that allows you to change from a high performance mode (RED), to a standard mode (GREEN) and, if you so desire, turn it off altogether.
At about $300, the Sprint Booster isn’t cheap but, I liked the one I got for my Orange JK with an auto that I broke down and got another for my White one with a 6-speed too. Below is a write-up I did that shows just how easy it is to install one in your JK.

I REALLY like my Sprint Booster.
You cringe at the price, but once you have it - it's totally worth it!
And depending on how flexible your wrists are - you can also access the pedal harness from below to plug the connector in, and not have to remove the panels below the steering column.

I am in the same boat, I really would like to know the results on a 6spd, I have yet to see or hear of anyone with that set-up
im surprised to see wayoflife promoting this product. did you get paid? the majority of modders around the internet know that you can get the same effect by just pushing your pedal harder/faster. Just curious.
It cuts down the delay between when you push the pedal and when the RPM's actually go up. It isn't the same as just pushing more. I'd never go back to driving my JK without it.

actually, i see the difference most in my 6-speed. again, this is not a programmer and it simply eliminates the lag created by the ETC that all jk's have when you step on the gas.
so stating an opinion on the product and my post gets deleted. at least people will get emailed with this. thats how the forum runs. biased product opinions. they'll delete what they dont like.
now its back.. weird stuff going on round here..
ya i got an infraction for stating an opinion too.

LOL!! oh yeah, you got me - how could i possibly speak highly of a product unless i got paid to promote it.
at "modders around the interent". they're called "web wheelers" and clearly, a majority of them only know what they've read on the interent. you might want to try and step away from your computer from time to time and get your hands dirty working on your jeep. who knows, you might learn a thing or two.
