Check the Write-Ups page... Lots of info there.

Did that, the only two I found were from 5/2010 and they did not give instructions on how to wire. I will keep searching.

Hmmm maybe the thread I saw wasn't in the writeups section. I recall reading about someone wiring up rock lights with pretty detailed pics and instructions on splicing the groups of lights together. It may have been a different thread regarding splicing into the backup rear lights. Sorry if I sent you on a wild goose chase.

The switch is the hard part. The rest is pretty easy.
Red #12 from battery to inline fuse.
Red #12 from inline fuse to relay.
( 2 ) Red #14 & ( 2 ) black #14 from relay to lights. ( One red and one black to each light )
Blacks go to ground.
Use wire loom to protect the conductors.
Oh, ( 1 ) #14 black ground to relay.
Run the wires for the switch like previously described.
Have fun on the install. You know where to find me if you need any more info!

it's there. There's two good ones with wiring diagrams for different options. I had it subscribed but deleted it after I installed mine. Sorry I'm no help. Looks like you got a good answer though.

No problem, it's all good. I did find information about the switch searching for the thread.

You might be talking about this one... https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...p-lamp-install

I found it just a few seconds ago. In this one, he gives the instructions on how to use the KC harness. For this mod, at least from my understanding, we will need to do all the wiring.

Sorry if I took this off in a different direction. I am going to do both and decided to have two switches, since they will be for different purposes.

relays and larger wire between the relay and the switch was the plan. Not sure what gauge I'd need but I'm good about over-killing with wire.

55Wx6 lights = 330 total watts
330/12volts = 27.5 amps

12V/30A relay & 12 gauge wire should do the trick.
