I've done the mod but I still have white staining from the mirror run off. I know I've seen a post around here for what to use to clean it safely (everything I've tried won't make a dent) but I can't find it now that I need it.

Help a girl out?

I'll respond to my own post in case anyone else is looking. Turtle wax polishing compound worked brilliantly. Also took off a paint scuff from a hit and run of the mall variety.
