I hold a clean towel against the bottom bracket bar and roll up, as the window rolls the towel is layered between each roll & no plastic touches together.
I roll it loosely to prevent "waves" in window.
Use bungies instead of elastic snaps. Wrap bungies around ends of bottom bracket bar & loop back to ball end.
