Woods Steering Stabilizer Relocation Bracket Write-Up
Hey guys, I recently replaced my Skyjacker Dual Steering Stabilizer with a Bilstein 5100 Steering Stabilizer. I ordered the steering stabilizer relocation bracket from Brett/Woods at Jeep SWAG/Dominion Offroad. The bracket was here in 3 days and Brett answered all of the questions I had. GREAT customer service
The SS relocation kit comes with the bracket and a 1/2" bolt and lock nut. The lock nut only threads a couple of turns up the bolt and when it is tightened it goes all the way up the bolt and locks in place. The lock nut can be taken off, but will not be able to be put back on many times, if at all. I figured I'd do a short little write up just in case anyone else wanted to do this project and needed a few pictures to look at while doing it

The first thing that needs to be done is to park your JK on level ground.
Next, remove the OEM passenger side steering stabilizer bolt and nut. Keep this hardware because it will be used later on in the installation.
Then, loosen the tie rod brackets U-bolts. When you loosen these bolts, rotate the bracket so that the stud is pointing up (this is if you want maximum clearance for your stabilizer from rocks).
This next part can be kind of tricky if you haven't ever taken your passenger track bar bolt off. In my case, my bolt was rusted pretty good and I had a fun time taking it off. You cannot remove this bolt from the back because of the lock it has on it. Here is a picture of the lock:
I attached a 13/16" crescent wrench to the nut on that lock and then used a 13/16" socket on a ratchet to unscrew the bolt from the track bar. I sprayed WD 40 on this entire area to help loosen the bolt from the lock.

Here is a picture of the lock and the bolt that you just removed from the passenger side of the track bar:
Now you need to drill a hole using a 1/2" drill bit in the hole to the left of the hole that the bolt you just took out goes.

Now that you've drilled your 1/2" hole, it is time to put the Woods SS relocation bracket on. Put the bracket up to the holes and place the bolts in their holes accordingly. Put the track bar bolt inside with the lock nut bracket on the back and put the new 1/2" bolt in the hole you just drilled and put the lock nut on the back of it.

Tighten the track bar bolt to 125 ft. lbs and torque the 1/2" bolt and lock nut to 75 ft. lbs

Now it's time to install the steering stabilizer to the bracket.
Dominion Offroad suggests that the rod end be attached to the relocation bracket, but they say that on older JK's it will be necessary to install it the other way.
To install the steering stabilizer in the relocation bracket, use OEM bolt and nut you took off of the steering stabilizer. I didn't have this hardware because I threw it away when I removed the OEM steering stabilizer. I used a 2 1/2" x 1/2" bolt from home depot instead and this worked perfectly.

Put the SS inside the relocation bracket and tighten up the bolt and nut
