Default Zipper Pulls

I tried this the other day and it made a HUGE difference.

I had finally gotten tired of my knuckles scraping the velcro every time I wanted to open/close the soft top windows. The existing pulls are too short and leave very little to grasp. I had a ton of 550 cord laying around and decided to do something about it.

Materials needed:

-550 cord (very cheap, can be gotten anywhere)
-lighter

I went to this site to learn how to tie a cobra knot. Its extremely easy and shows a step by step.

http://www.animatedknots.com/cobra/index.php?

Then I simply burned the ends of the cords to keep from fraying, attached it to the zipper pulls and VOILA! No more red knuckles!

Not only is that an awesome idea, but that site about the different knots rocks too! Thanks for the ingenuity.

I was just going to put a leather 6 inch lead on mine before seeing this!

I did the easier thing-bought zipper extenders from local caning store. Your para-cord has more character, but I'm not that smart!
