Default 2018 jl 2 mopar lift and 35s millage

Curious what you guys are getting for gas millage. I just picked up a left over 2 door jl sport s with a mopar lift and 35s stock gearing. So searched for the tank size and I believe it’s 18.5 gal. Took truck yesterday and drove highway to get home for about 160 miles. And the millage is horrible lol. Possibly because I was not constant on the pedal as I was changing speed a lot. But I’m curious what you guys are getting because with 280 miles on the truck now it’s really bad millage from my figuring of about 11mpg lol. My range says 221 when full. I know it should be geared and I know people say it doesn’t need it but I know it does within 10 miles of highway driving so if u didn’t gear it god bless u.

I was told it was when I asked that but then again it doesn’t even have an antenna soooooo it could have been over looked. I got it sat and if it’s gonna get 11-12 mpg there’s a problem. I’ll bring it right back I’ve been told I have three days but I don’t know. I want it tho I’d be happy with 17 I can see that

You would actually be going farther then the odometer would read since the sensor is on the axle shaft.

How fast were you driving? That will kill your mileage in a heartbeat. I can float 17, sometimes 18 in an older model with weight, there's no reason you should be getting 11mpg unless you're doing 90mph dragging a trailer.

a jeep with 280 miles is will not be an accurate indication of what mpg you will get especially if using the onboard mpg indicator. Might have idled for long periods of time etc. Fill it up go for a 100 mile drive and hand figure it when your speedometer is corrected. Use a phone app speedometer app to see your actual speed or a stand alone gps.

I have been busy with Christmas I am going for a ride tonight to determine if the speedo was corrected..... shop says it was but I have reason to doubt that.... I will know later. Looks like I’ll be making an apt at the dealer already hope we’ll be friends lol
