Locked car, doors still open but panic alarm sounds

Locked car, doors still open but panic alarm sounds
When I lock my 2018 jl rubicon and I open the door it will open but the panic alarm will sound until it’s unlocked, how do I stop the door from opening when it’s locked?(I don’t have the button thing on my door handles)
