Planning the mods on my 2021 JLU
Thoughts and feedback welcomed on this list.
I have started talks with local shop and have decided to go with the following to start my mods.
Lift- Rubicon Express 2.5 super ride lift with Fox Shocks. Thoughts were to keep more of the factory ride and gain wheel clearance for 35’s and gain better than stock trail capability at a fair price. Middle
of road kit. Focused on overland use.
tires- BF Goodrich AT KO2 35x12.50
wheels- Fuel Anza 17” bronze
Lockers- eaton electric
Still searching for bumpers and winch combo as well as cargo and overland accessories.
Feel free to share thoughts.

You're likely to get better responses, more quantified responses, from a JL specific forum. The Rubicon Express stuff is typically regarded as junk in the JK realm. You can't go wrong with BFG's, though they sell for a premium price. They're good tires though, I think I had 50k miles on mine and they still had good tread to sell on to the next guy.

I will do more research then. Ty for the heads up!
Best of luck with your build. If there's other things we can be of assistance with, certainly feel free to reach out, I just think you'd get more "real-time" feedback by going with a forum that's a little more zeroed in on the JL. I would advise you take the JL forum with a grain of salt. Years ago, the same guy ran this place and only vendors who sponsored him had "good" products, everything else was trash. That created a group of zombies that followed his every word and folks who would venture elsewhere to see what else was available. Luckily that's changed but we still don't have the same level of JL member involvement here.

Y, I agree. I hate to send people away from this forum, but the truth is even though there is a JL sub-forum, it's by name and necessity only, and there are only a couple of members with both a JK and JL. though we are willing to help with general things, almost none of us will know the intricacies/ins and outs of the JL to provide great support. When it comes to the different forums, that can be subjective. Eddie has, long ago, sold out. I really thing you should decide on your build and use, then pick a forum with the support that is best suited to you. I will say that long ago I found the most general and courteous support out of this forum specifically which, unlike others, is the only one I support (it was long after eddie sold to Internet Brands....not that it matters). anyhoww.......
I agree RE is junk local shops peddle primarily based to sticker price and in-and-out the door. Seriously consider the Metalcloak offerings as well as Synergy. I'd even add in AEV based on your use.
I know I'm happy to help where I can, and I know Karl and a few others would too, but we can only help with general things. Best wishes with the new jeep though. Sad to see you go from the JK....happy to see you progress though.
You're not too far from Bridgeport, TX. If that kind of wheelin (northwest OHV) ever interest you hit me up. I'd be happy to drive an hour to wheel with you.
