They typically realistically sell for between $2500 and $4k. I bought a set of upgraded, regard axles for $2300 a couple years ago. I understand your buddy spent some dumb amount of money on upgrades but they are basically worthless. IF he still has the stock parts put them back on and sell the aftermarket diff covers, knuckles, tie rod, and axle shafts. Expect to get 30-50% for the used upgrades.
