Good example of brake lock differential at work
 

Went wheeling with a couple of buddies of mine this weekend at a place called Pickett state forest. I already had put my driver's side front tire up on the rock. I was in 1st gear, in 4 low, and just let the clutch out. The computer controlled what happened next. It braked the passenger front wheel, allowing the driver's side to get power and pull me up the rock.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZau48GRfb8 My setup - 2011 JK, 4.88s, 35s, JKU springs with a 3/4" spacer, flat flares, and a limited slip rear with open front diff. I got a little rubbing in the back on the liners two or three times during the day, but the front never rubbed.

Here is my buddy climbing the same rock. He has an '11 JK with 35s, and is running a 2.5" lift with flat fenders. He has TrueTracs front and rear, but you can see when the BLD kicked in for him too.

This is a great example. I have open diffs in my 2012 JKU but it came with the trac lok option in the rear. I can really feel when it kicks in and I always get people telling me it looks like I have a rear locker.
