...In fact, ORE just posted up a FB photo the other day of just such a configuration where the owner managed to twist the splines on a CHROMOLLY shaft!!
Agreed .

And that can also be a key element - electric winches have the max torque and pull capacity on the first layer of spooling; thereafter, with every additional layer, the pull capacity lowers and the winch has to work harder to pull the same load, leading it to overheat faster. When distance is limited, having a snatch block will help by allowing you to spool out more of the wire.

Well had a long trip to OKC today. Left wagoner at 11:30 and pulled into the city about 4:30 with a couple of bathroom breaks and lunch.

Thought it would be easier to go 69 to I-40 and across. It was just as bad as the other roads.

Be here till Monday and then headed back

How were the roads on the way to OKC? I imagine they'd be pretty bad still.

Yes. I-40 was horrible till you get west of Choctaw road. I was in 4 high till there. For the most part it was one lane with the occasional passing area. Just have to watch out for the big trucks.

Jason.....when I left your house this afternoon there were 3 cars in the ditch and one hit the ditch trying to get around them out in front of your neighborhood. those are deep ditches. i was out there for 30 minutes trying to help some girl that lived in your addition that went to get medicine for her baby. you should go out there and direct traffic for a few days. winch did really well this time.

Hey, thanks again for letting me borrow that shovel. We were able to clear the driveway enough to get my wife's car out.
