Default Twitchy Ride

Hello just picked up a 2020 Rubicon with 3k miles. It has fuel wheels and 35 tires. The ride feels twitchy like the cab sways side to side. Running 32psi.

Im not sure if it is normal or if there is a issue.

thanks in advance.

I have read some problems on other forums... and there have been several different results... I read on one person finding bolts in the front suspension not torqued , another had a bad steering box out of the gate... You could ask the dealer to check the trackbar and control torque... I have about 8000 on mine now, and it is super solid on 33's... like one finger driving most of the time. So they all are not like that... something might be off.

Yes agree. I drove a stocker in a test drive the other day and it steered perfectly straight and rode solid. Sounds like a shitty suspension kit to me as it looks lifted. I know the dealers here in Calgary are lifting a lot of the non-Rubicons and putting tires on them and they are using cheap suspension kits. Those stock fox shocks are magic on these things. Need that valving for mine.

It's double whammy buying lifted from dealers 1) because they often do just throw cheap, incomplete kits on for looks to move them out the door, but 2) cuz they also wrap in an arm and a leg in their labor to install that stuff. Around my area for example, they can throw on a $700 ProComp lift with shock, add fuel wheels and 35s, and smittybilt bumpers, then list $10k over sticker....when all they got in it is about $3500 in parts. Even if they negotiate down a few grand, they still capture an absurd margin on the parts/labor vs. if you had bought stock and lifted it yourself.

There is a TSB for all 2020 Gladiators with twitchy steering! A whole new steering box! If you have problems take it to the dealer and get a new box... this is a new FCA bulletin!

Had mine done, now it drives like it should. Before it had an approx 2 inch dead zone in the steering. Now it feels tight and doesn't require me sawing the wheel left and right to keep it straight.
