1" vs 2" body lifts

I see that BDS has a 2" Body Lift available; Has anyone installed this? I know a lot of people have the 1" MORE BL...It seems to me like 2" is a lot for a body lift, but I am really curious to see pics and get thoughts from anyone that has one installed.

Thanks in advance.

If you want to go playing in the rocks, stick with a 1 inch. There is too much flex between the body and frame with anything more

Aren't these body lifts aluminum pucks, though? I thought that would create less flex than the stock rubber ones.

I believe there was pic on the site recently that showed some auto-show JK (all blinged-out, etc.) sitting on a 3" body lift... may have been custom, or perhaps it was a 2" lift and was mislabeled... in any case, didn't look too hot IMO.

Here are my thoughts... a 2 inch body lift allows you to do a complete belly tuck which offers you additional clearance which is needed in the JKs. If you compare the clearance a TJ has with 35 inch tires compared to a JK... it's TJ wins... I see the best combination being a 4 inch suspension lift with a 2 inch body lift (w/tummy tuck) and 37 inch tires. That's will offer you a real capable jeep that will tackle many of the trailer queen jeep trails.

By keeping the suspension lift down and using a body lift, you minimize the CG impacts.

I have seen guys with this combo in a TJ out perform other TJs that just focus on suspension lifts. I was a design engineer for years and can tell you that one inch in effective CG shift can make all the difference in the world in a rolll over situation.

Ok... I can't comment on how good it may look. :D
