10A Maximus winch plate install? Warn VR10S

Anyone ever install this winch plate on this model? Have a buddy trying to figure it out and it didn't come with any instructions. Looks like if you want to use the existing skid plate you have to trim for the Maximus d ring brackets ? Any pics or info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I did it on a 10A with a Warn Zeon. Pretty straight forward, but definitely get out your elbow extensions for your sockets.

Didn't come with any instructions? And did you mount the d ring brackets ?

Call them. There are instructions. If your winch is centered, you'll need to cut out the fair lead area of the bumper. If not, then good to go. I can't recall if I drilled holes in the bottom of the bumper or not. That's one method.

Honestly, it's a total pain in the a##. I installed a winch on my Jeep in 30 min. On the 10A with the Zeon winch and Maximus plate, it took me a good 6-8 hours. Once I figured out how to get a socket to the bolts, it was easy. I told myself to write it down in case someone else was doing it or I needed to undo it. Yeah, I forgot....

Lololol. Yea man it seems pretty simple, my buddy is buggin out about it and we're calling it a night. Not to mention the flashpaq tune is calling an error and we just stripped a windshield bracket nut. Jeep on.

Man, the mod gods have not been good to you over the last six months! hahaha

Unexpected challenges are more rewarding in the end and a great learning experience. I'd lend a hand if you were closer.

I put a winch (10k smitty X2O) in my 10a last week. No cutting no drilling no relocating the pump, 4 bolts: 2 on the inside of the frame plus using the 2 inside bottom tow hook bolts. Very simple. No sure the brand of my plate b/c it was given to me, think it may be from mopar
