'11 door panels on a '07 JK
As anybody done this transplant? I rented an '11 and these door panels are so much nicer with the arm rests. I just bought a pair off of eBay and plant to attempt this modification. Curious I it has been done?

I'd be interested to know the answer to this as well. I really like the newer door panels with the functioning arm rests and such. Could be a worthwhile 'mod' depending on cost.

Do you have power windows? I know that on my 2011 the window switches are under the radio. I don't know it pre 11's have the power switches on the door. That would be the issue that I'd foresee.

To my knowledge this won't work because the inner metal door skin in the pre-2011 does not match the shape of the 2011+.
There is more metal covered with the newer door skin and the shape of the panel is different. Also where the 2011+ panel screws at the bottom, there are no screws in the pre-2011 panel in that same location. I doubt the newer panel would sit flush in the earlier door skin.

Looks to me like it might work. The bottom price follows almost the same line. And the top part of the new panels doesn't look like it is sunk into the door. Looks like it just sets on it.
