Would like to get Nitto Trail Grapplers 34.61" (8.0-(9.5)-11.0)

I really want the KMC Venom Rims 17x8. However, how do I know if they are strong enough for Rock Crawling? They dont seem to be listed as Truck/SUV rims.

Also considering the XD Series Hoss XD795 Gloss Black 17x9"/5

I like the first set better because they seem to be "set back" further (I scratch the hell out of my rims & knock off the valve stem) but they only go up to 8", the 2nd set are listed as Truck/SUV rims & are 9".
