2-2.5" lift which one?. 17/8 or 17/9 cragars?

newbie here so if im posting in the wrong forum or if youre just sick of this question, sorry. heres my situation. i have a 2008 2dr jk x which came originally with the stock 16" steels. i was able to find some 17" take offs at a great price and thats whats on my ride now. i did however get rid of the wrangler sra highway tire and put on 255/75/17 goodyear silentarmors(a great tire imho especially in the snow). anyhow, i read recently that the stock jk with 16" rims came with a shitty suspension no monotube shocks like the 17" package etc. so i figured id get better shocks, if im gonna do the shocks i might as well put a small lift on it and do the springs as well. 2-2.5" and level it out is all im looking for. i plan on getting some cragar soft 8s 17x8 or 17x9 at the same time and just keep my 32" goodyear a/t's. ive looked at ome, rustys and rough country 2-2.5" kits. is there another kit out there i should consider? bang for the buck which is better? also 17/8" or 17/9" cragars? thanks

Planning on any offroad? Budget?

The 2.5" Teraflex seems to be really popular. I'm looking myself so I can't give any input. Good luck!

thanks for replys, rafi .a lil offraod probably. but im in nj mostly pine barrens stuff sand mud etc. im gonna keep it as my DD until i pay it off. i wouldnt want to go any bigger then 2.5. i guess im looking closest at ome 2" and terafleix 2.5 and maybe rustys 2". im an electrician so im pretty good with my hands but ive never lifted a vehicle before. i dont want something so big my wife and son need help getting in. or something where i'll be damaging my jeep just to lift it.

I just added the Tereflex 2 1/2" budget boost kit on my jk and it drives like factory although my jk only has 1500 miles on it. It took me about 6 hours to install with hand tools. Just a heads up if you have the stock 17" rims your gonna need wheel spacers on the rears

I just purchased the T.F. 2.5" coil lift with shocks. I had been searching for a while and found a great deal. No one else came close, check them out. The price on there is total out the door!

i plan of getting cragars either 17x8 or 17x9 and put the lift and wheels on at the same time. ya think i'll need spacers with the cragars too?

I am not sure if you will need spacers with those rims. It depends what the backset of the tire is. I know the stock 17" had a 5.5" backset and Tereflex I believe recommends a 4.5" backset other wise your right rear wheel will rub. Atleast that is with the budget boost lift
