2.5 Inch lift for $139!!
http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_2.html
I'm currently in the market for a 2.5 inch lift so I can run 35's is this a good lift it's $134.99 dollars the other lift I have in mind is the Terraflex 2.5 in BB. What's the difference in these to lifts? Is one better than the other? Is the installation different? I don't know too much about lifts except coil lifts are more complicated to install. Thanks |
Coil lifts are no harder to install. The lift you are looking at is probably the rough country bb. That's what I'm running and I like it. The teraflex kit comes with brake line extentions that you can make for a buck. Do a search and you will find all you need to know. The tf kit also comes with extended bumpstops. I've not had a problem without them. Oh...and a track bar bracket and swaybar links. The rough county lift is fine. If you want to add all that other stuff later you can.

I just saw the link you posted. The RC kit has been problem free for me. Its all in what you wanna spend. Tf kit is more complete but then again the next step up is even better. You could spend thousands on a kit. BTW. .. these kits aren't coil lifts. They are spacer lifts. Its still a suspension lift but You will reuse your stock coils.

would your recommend it for medium level trails with 33's? BUT - Look past the dirt cheap price tag and compare components!! Everyone has different tolerances for non-stock handling. Learn what all of those extra components do so you can decide if they are something that you will want and/or need. There is a lot of info in the Suspension FAQ's. It's worth a few minutes of your time to read it. Particularly the one on caster. Lift it, drive it, see how it drives, then decide if you want to add anything... |
I haven't had a single issue. I did notice that the rear brake lines got tight at full flex but like I said, one dollar at the hardware store fixed that. I go on some pretty decent trails with it every chance I get. For the money I would reccomend it. It was easy to install. It only took a few hours. I have since added a steel bumper and winch(200lbs) and would like to upgrade to true coils, but ill probably stick with rough country.

I would recommend the "Series 2" option. It comes with the brake line ext, extend swaybar links and rear trackbar bracket in addition to the spacers and shock extensions.
$179.95 http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_2.html http://www.roughcountry.com/images_large/jeep_634.jpg |
Yeah. What he said. That is a pretty complete kit. I would have bought that one but it wasn't available then. You'll save enough over the Teraflex kit to buy discos:thumbsup:
