2" spacer lift - new shocks required?
I'm looking at installing a 2" spacer lift and running 265/75-16 tires.
Do I really need to replace these brand new shocks for mild wheeling adventures?
Will the shocks fail if I hit an overtravel situation or just limit the travel?
Thanks in advance......

Just 265/75-16? You know, you can easily go bigger especially with a 2" lift
As far as shocks go, technically no, you don't need to replace your shocks but yes, your travel will be limited and over extending your factory shocks will ultimately cause them to fail.

tire size
Thanks Eddie, that's exactly what I was expecting to hear. Yes, I'll be staying with the 265s for a while. With the 3:21 gears that my X came with, I'm already way out of range on all the gear ratio charts that I've referred to. Shoulda got the 4:10s......but I couldn't wait and bought one off the lot.
I'll post some pics from our 1st mountain trek tomorrow. Have a great day!
