2007 jku to a 2012 jk

Im considering trading in my 2007 Sahara JKU manual tranny for a 2012 Sport two door manual. Id like to trade it in stock and move my TF 2.5, wheels/tires, and bumper over to the 2012. Will there be any issues with the lift? Would I need to get a new driveshaft?
I do plan on regearing btw.

I have been running a 2.5 unlimited kit on my 2 door. I have 1" spacers also so i figure i have around 4 inches of lift. I know im going to have to replace my rear driveshaft sooner or later. But you will be fine for sure. On the 2012 you might have to do the exhaust flanges though.

You'll only have ds problems with lifts 3" and up (angle) and/or if you run shocks that are 27.5", such as Bilstein 5100's, which at full droop (swaybar's disco'd) will cause your stock ds and exhaust pipe to hit each other.

Sounds to me like you're good to go.

If you're running 33's on a '12 with 3.73 gears, you shouldn't need to regear. Bigger tires or higher gears (3.21's), well then, yeah...

Thanks guys. Looks like the only issue is the driveline hitting the exhaust. Now i just gotta decide if i really want it.

The dealer tells me my jku coils will not transfer over to to a 2012. Is this true?

not true. they will work.

they'll work just fine..dealer just wants you to leave the lift on.

Im about to lift my 2012 JKU...I originally bought the TF exhaust spacers which you WILL need with a 2.5" lift(thanks Jeep) but, I decided to go with the AFE Y-Pipe instead to just do it right the first time with my 3.5" lift.

Either way, if lifting a 2012, you will most definitely have exhaust issues....Trust me...
