Lightbulb 2008 JKU TPM Delete?

Have a 2008 JKU. Wondering if anyone has removed the TPM sensors and replaced with plain rubber stems?
The metal ones get sheared off when playing in the rocks. Other than a dash light which I can live with, I'd like to eliminate the TPM sensors.
Don't want to pay $300-400 to replace the Shrader EZ valves that work with rubber stems in later JKU models. Any experience with this issue? I'm in Calif. where no inspection is required. Thoughts?

Get a superchips to turn that system off and be happy. I killed it on my 2010 and I don't regret it. Just be diligent with checking your tire pressure to maximize fuel economy while minimizing your likelihood of a blowout due to tire neglect.

Very common. I removed them from my 08 back in 08.

AEV Procal will adjust the pressure or disable the system to turn off the light. Superchips flashcal/flashpaq used to adjust and disable, but they changed the functionality a while back and there are mixed reviews on success with them, especially given the ridiculously poor tech support they have.

I bought 5 Schrader rubber stemmed sensors for my 2008 JK from Amazon for about $195.

No problems? How long have you had them on?

My 2012 came with rubber valve stems. I think they are the same as the ones posted above. I didn't have any issue with them for as long as I had them. My aftermarket wheels don't have the TPMS sensors and I have disabled the system using the AEV Procal.

I believe FCA changed the transmitter frequency of the TPMS around 2011 or 2012. Ronjenx has a 2008. So likely they may look the same but are not interchangeable.

Someone feel free to correct me if I got that change over year wrong.

Change over year was the 2013 model when they added in advanced reporting in the dash.
