2017 rubi locker to 2012 jk sport d44

Will it work? Will the carrier fit?

No, different spline count. You have 27 front 30 rear. Rubicon has 30 front, 32 rear.

If you change the shafts out with 32 spline, sure. Honestly not worth your time unless you're getting the locker for dirt cheap; the stock Rubi locker is OK, but not as strong as the other selectable lockers on the market.

Ideally with your Sport 44 rear, 35 spline shafts and a 35 spline ARB would be best.

A guy posted a review many years ago of all the work it took to get a rubi locker to fit in a non-rubi housing. In addition to different spline count, the pumpkins are offset on the two housings. Meaning different length axle shafts, so you can't just slap in a set of stock rubi shafts.

Thanks all! That helps out a lot. There is a rubi locker for sale in my necknof the woods for 300.... Was tempted to go with that rather then zip locker that I picked up (also used). Im more of electrical guy then air guy ;) but the effort becomes impractical.
