22" wheels and tires
I have a 2012 jku sport. I've seen some nice picks of jeepsrunning 22's with bfg a/t and guy running mudd tires. My question is how to they ride at 80mph. I hardly drive my jeep unless its long distance or beginner wheeling. I like the look of big wheels and tires. But am wondering how the ride will be? I have stock suspension. Not gonna change since I head it voids warranty. I'm a newbie to jeeps. I formerly owned a Lifted Fj cruiser

Unless you have at least 40" tires for those 22" wheels, there is no reason to even consider 22's for a Jeep IMHO.

Wat about 20's. I hate the mini wheel look. I'm sure wit 40" tire I won't be able to do 80mph

Also I might have to change the gears. Thought I had the 3.73 gear but found out I have 3.21. Smh

BFG makes only 2 sizes in a 22" A/T. 325/50R22 = 35" tall & 325/60R22 = 37.5" tall. Both are over 13" wide.
You can't run either one of those without some kind of lift. (you can, but there will be some rubbing issues) There are a lot of threads about running 35's with no lift/minimal lift. As for how will it ride at 80mph, "like a shoebox with 22's going 80" (my attempt at humor) . |
I have 20's with 35 as I don't do any rock crawling cause I live in the south an I do a lot of mud riding not really sure why u want to do 80 but they ride great at 70-75

I have 20" wheels, but I have a lift & 35.4" tires.

I've been looking to do 20" wheels wrapped in either 33" or 34" tires (Nittos) they have odd sizes. I like the look of a 20" wheel with 33"-35" tire. But it sounds like you want more of a "low profile" tire look so I would say 20" on 33". You'll be able to push them with ease and still keep a decent MPG.

Also I currently run 33" Nitto Trail Grapplers on my stock 18" wheels at 33-35 psi and they ride great. Get about 17 mpg in town and 20-22 mpg highway.
