Nice-- looking forward to the pics! Have you tested them at full articulation, yet? I've been told that size will fit nicely for on-road use, but that they'll rub when they get out on the trail.
I'm interested in your experience since I won't be lifting my JK, but I do wheel it.

It was one of the first to come out. I've used K&N for all of my vehicles in the past. The AEM fits perfect and the quality seems to be very good...so far. It's been in for a day.

more backspacing will bring the tires inboard, but you may have some rubbing on full wheel turn. Most are recommending 5.5 to 4.5 backspacing for the aftermarket wheels and tires.

Hey I have a few naive questions:
I'm used to hearing tire sizes as "35's " or "37's ", just examples. But what is 285x70/R17's? How do your measure that?
To convert the metric to what you're familiar with, 285X.03937=11.22 tread width. Then the aspect ratio for sidewall height; 11.22X.70=7.85. Remember, there are 2 sidewalls plus rim size; 7.85X2+17+32.7. The end result would be a 32.7 X 11.22 - 17 tire.
Also is backspacing the distance between the tire and the wheel-well?

Hopefully this will help
