2wd to 4wd conversion help!

Well I was going to recommend you PM Jaker but it appears he's already found you OP.
As for the guys saying dont bother, you could really come out ahead with better quality parts by building a 2wd into a 4wd. Instead of spending the extra money on 4wd for inferior quality MOPAR factory parts he can go chromoly shafts, dynatrac housing and ball joints, better quality locker, better drivelines, atlas multi speed transfer case, etc. all for the money he would have invested in a 4wd Jeep. Basically you would start out with all the stuff Ive had to upgrade or replace because of chryslers failuresn and poor designs and then some.

I will say this right now , the biggest mistake I made was doing a Dana 30 and not because it's a bad axle , but because it doesn't allow for growth

Thanks guys for the help. Its actually cheaper to convert it and while I'm converting im also upgrading. Im trying to build a very capable rig on 37's

If i can keep the build under $2000 I'll still would have saved over $5,000 if i tried to buy a 4wd same year and milage. Just thought I'd throw that out there to all the haters

Don't be discouraged its pretty simple to do all in all only paid $10,000 for my 07 two years ago and put $2000 in it to make it 4wd. Took a little time finding all the parts but went together pretty easy.

Yeah honastly the most difficult part about the conversion is locating the right parts.
