3" lift, 35" tires, 5.13 gears...towing capacity?

I use my JK as a daily driver and I regularly tow a 3000 lb trailer. I'm contemplating a 3" lift and 35s, and regearing to 5.13. Would I still be able to tow my trailer?

To put it another way: the owner's manual specifies a 3500 lb towing limit stock, and I'm trying to understand how these modifications will impact that limit. The lift would decrease my stability, the larger tires would put more stress on my driveline and axles (but the larger gears would partially compensate for that, right?), so I'm assuming my towing capacity would be reduced. By how much? Will I still be able to tow my trailer (safely?!)

I would think it would reduce it, can't say how much. Braking would be something that would take a hit with larger, heavier tires.

IMO with the 5.13 gears you will be fine towing with the 35's, but you will probably notice a difference in the braking especially towing the trailer. If you adjust your driving habits accordingly you will be fine.

That is the set up I have and I think it is actually a little easier towing now than stock. that being said, braking does take a bit more pedal, more of a driving modification than anything. Go for it, you will be fine. Or you can ask 100dollarman, as he runs 37's with 5.13 gears and tows all the time.

I towed two fourwheelers and a 14 foot trailer a couple of weekends and it did ok. I've got 35's with 4.10 gears. Im guessing the trailer and all weighed around 1400 lbs. It did ok on flat ground but shifted into 2nd alot on hills.
