Just got them on yesterday, discount tire said I need to run 40psi to keep the tire pressure light off based off volume of the new tire. Is there a way to reprogram that light/sensor so I don't have to run them so full? I can tell they are running harder in the center of the tire because the small rubber tabs on a new tire have worn on the center but the outsides of the running surface still have their tabs. Obviously running a little inflated.
It doesn't matter what size the tire is... the pressure is always the same. 35psi in a 35" is the same as 35psi in a 31" tire.
I say air it down to 30psi and you're all set. If you need to go lower, then you might need a third party tuner/reprogrammer to turn off the TPMS light.

A 35 needs to be aired down to 28-30. Best bet is to chalk test it to find the range. At 40 you are going to wear down the inner tread pretty quick. Get a Pro Cal, it's a worthy investment and then you can shut the TPMS off and not worry about it.
