Jadmt do you have to check torque often, I've been skeptical of them but also read a lot of people using them.

it is recommended that when you rotate your tires to set the torq wrench to 80ft/lbs and make sure they are all still tight. You don't go more then that as you do not want to break the red locktite. I have never had one move at 80 ft/lbs and I have had to remove them once and all were locktited in place just like they should be. I rotate every 3000 miles but would have no issues going 6000 miles between checking. Original proper install is crucial and I would never trust anyone but myself to install them but that is just me.

I think I will get some so I can run larger tires, can't afford aftermarket wheels right now but want to go with some larger tires. I've been told with the stick wheels that I shouldn't go any wider then 10 inches and see a lot of y'all running 11.5, any issues with that?

There are some clear advantages to staying with a more narrow tire, including using stock wheels, avoiding wheel spacers, increased traction in many surfaces over wider tires, more tire height with less lift, less rolling resistance and unladen weight, reduced wear and drag on components and brakes, and better fuel economy.

This thread covers it in much more detail: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-t...-tires-270499/

Thanks arjeeper, was looking to get a 33 inch tall tire on my stockers for now. I'll read more on it before I do anything.

When I went from the 255/80-17 to the 285/75-17 I had to do a tad trimming on the air dam and adjust the steering stops along with a spring change. With the 255/80 KM2s I never had anything rub or hit. The 255s were taller than the OEM KMs that came on my Rubicon, and the 285s were a big step up from the 255s

I was in that same boat. There are not so many options out there, since everybody wants them as wide as possible to make his bro truck look cool:

- 255/80R17 BFG KM2, around 33.3 inch in diameter (usually fits w/o lift/spacers)
- 275/70R18 Cooper ST/Maxx or STT, around 33.1 inch (usually fits w/o lift/spacers)
- 35x10.5R17 Interco SSR, they say 35.3 in in diameter and more like 11.6 inch wide (will obviously need lift and spacers) also this tire has some weight too (76 lbs)
