35" and 37" Tire Carrier Experiences (with cost)
I want to keep my back seat and forum consensus says I need a spare. To pay $700+ to keep from tearing off my tailgate seems pretty excessive, Yes...I know a tailgate repair would be more expensive! What is everyone using and what was the cost? My only requirement is that it swings WITH the tailgate. I don't want to open 2 things just to get my dog into the back. Oh, yeah...it also needs to be less expensive and sturdy. I have a 2013 2dr.

Can I buy just the part number 4838100 (Teraflex JK HD Aluminum Hinged Tire Carrier) and skip the adjustable tire mount until I get the 37" tires?

I went ahead and purchased the Teraflex carrier and adjustable mount from John at ORW. Their price was lower than any I have seen, and he was very helpful. I am going to go up to 37" when I burn through the 35" tire that are on it now, so will need the ability to adjust and it gives it a bit more strength. Thanks for the ideas and comments.
