35s no lift?
 

Is it true you can squeeze 35s on a jk with no lift? Really nothing at all? I read 10 ways to fit 35s on a jk on four wheeler magazines website and one way was bumpstops to limit travel or just simply trimming the fenders. If it's true I may consider that route I like the stuffed tire look on a jk.

I remember seeing a dealer selling unlifted JKs with 35s. I can't remember where is saw it though.
If you wanted to drive off road at all, you'd have to extend the bump stops, do flat fenders or cut the stock ones and make sure you had proper backspacing by either new wheels or spacers. It can be Done though.

Scroll down and you'll see what my Jeep looked like with 35's/no lift. I wouldn't advise it.

These might be an option. They claim you can fit 37's with no lift.

Then enough backspace to get the new tires out further so they will clear.

The problem with no lift and adding bumpstops is that you could easily be riding on the bumpstops, which bypasses the coils/shocks and just sends all road feedback straight up into the frame.

35/12.50/17 general grabbers on no lift on a 2 door. Waiting for the rk 2.5 to go on. The rear flares rubbed bad, and have since cracked one and waiting on a set of smitty bilt flares to get here

Had those tires before. Loved the tread design. Though you're brave for having the red letters out! Had 4wd install mine with black letters out.

I had my 35's on for a week prior to my lift. Rubbed on every bump and every off camber just pulling into & out of my drive way, Peking lots, etc. absolutely no way to off road that way u less you eliminate fenders. A friend of mine had 35's and no lift and never went off road. I will also say, with 4 adults in the rig, simple road variation caused rubbing.

Offroad is why mine doesn't have rear flares on it right now, cracked one in a ditch. I know that's not much off-roading but it was all I was willing to do with no lift. In the front all i did was trim the wannabe skid plate no more rubbing even flexed out.

I ran true 37's on mine with no lift for awhile. Even off road as well several times. So it can be done.

I quit going off road until I installed my lift because of the harsh rubbing though. If you plan to wheel, I'd highly recommend adding the proper bump stops so you can still wheel without tearing up your tires. On road with some trimming you'll be ok. Will probably rub some here and there depending how much you're willing to cut.
